Noblet Interns with US State Department in the Hague

(August 2009)  Bepko Fellow Nicholas Noblet has joined the U.S. Department of State as an intern with the U.S. Embassy in the Hague for this academic year.  Currently enrolled in an M.A. in Communication Studies in the IU School of Liberal Arts, Nick completed a BS in Informatics in May 2008, has studied abroad in Poland, and looks forward to a career in international relations and development.

Minevich Completes NSA Internship

(August 2009) Bepko Scholar Alum Igor Minevich, a May 2009 graduate with a B.S. in mathematics (pure math concentration), undertook a summer internship with the National Security Agency (NSA) following graduation where he worked on finding efficient methods of testing documents for similarity. Pleased with both the work environment and the tasks at hand, he looks forward to applying for the Graduate Math Internship program with the NSA next summer. Igor began his doctoral studies in mathematics at Brown University this fall.

Harman and Estrada to Lead Student Government in 2009-2010

(April 2009)  Brady Harman and Nicholas Estrada were elected to Undergraduate Student Government in this spring's elections.  Harman will serve as President of USG while Estrada was elected as Vice-President and both are committed to the continued development of student life and ensuring that the student voice is heard in major decisions regarding the campus.

Congratulations to 2009 Top Male Student Andrew Strong and our other Top 100 Winners

(April 2009) Bepko Scholar Andrew Strong was named the 2009 Top Male Student by the IUPUI Alumni Council and the Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR). This May 2009 graduate with a B.A. in chemistry is currently enrolled in Case Western Reserve’s Medical School. Other Bepko Scholars selected in the Top 10 Male and Top 10 Female categories include: Michael Burk, Kellen Knowles, Una Dragic, Lora Perry, and Rose Soliven.  Congratulations are also in order for the following Bepko Scholars named to the 2009 Top 100 list:  Gayle Brunner, Samantha Deitz, Nick Estrada, Brady Harman, Andrew Kimmel, Jessica McGown, Igor Minevich, Ronnie Roberts, Spencer Romstadt, and Lucas Wolf.
